Personal Work: PORTICOS AND STAIRWAYS

Aiming to continue the photography essay of the 1950’s cars, which circulated in Cuba in the end of the 1980’s, Du Ribeiro returned to the island in 1996 and registered in black and white, an Havana with its facades, doorways, stairways and alleys in a remarkably different scenario from the one he had seen eight years before.

PORTICOS E ESCADARIAS

Com a intenção de continuar o ensaio fotográfico dos "Carros dos Anos 50" que circulavam em Cuba nos anos oitenta, Du Ribeiro retornou à ilha em 1996 encontrando um cenário notavelmente diferente daquele visto 8 anos antes. Aqui, ele registra em preto e branco uma Havana decadente com seus lindos pórticos, escadarias e becos destruídos pelo tempo.
